Community’s Moment of Silence for Victims of Condo Collapse

On Wednesday, nearly 2 weeks after the collapse, Miami officials announced that the search for survivors was over and they are now looking to recover remains. Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava said, ‘At this point, we have truly exhausted every option available to us in the search-and-rescue mission.’ As of July 7, the death toll had risen to 54, with as many as 86 people unaccounted for. No one has been recovered alive from the rubble, according to reports.
