NASA SPACECRAFT HEADS BACK TO EARTH: NASA’s OSIRIS-REx is departing the asteroid Bennu. OSIRIS-REx, which launched in 2016 and reached Bennu in 2018, begins its two-and-a-half year journey back to Earth today, carrying with it a 2.1-ounce sample of the asteroid. NASA says the sample will ‘help scientists investigate how planets formed and how life began.’
