We remember the Black Americans who died in police encounters in 2020. Police encounters are a leading cause of death for young Black men. Black males are 2.5x more likely than white males to die in a police encounter. At least 48 Black women have been killed by police since 2015 but only two officers have been charged in those deaths. These numbers are far from complete. For more Black Lives Matter coverage and stories on racial justice, subscribe to NowThis News.
