My guest Darrian Kendall has started a 501c3 non-profit organization called WBT (We’re Better Togetherness). Its purpose is to serve the community and residents of North Texas and beyond by providing financial assistance for medical care and expenses. They go beyond just providing financial support by helping patients get to the root causes of repeated ER visits or hospital stays. As founder and CEO Darrian has quite an impressive resume and his heart for others is quite impressive as well. You can find out more about WTB and Darrian Kendall here:
Darrian Kendall currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the WBT Foundation. As Founder and CEO at the WBT Foundation, Darrian is responsible for the overall business operations of the organization — providing outstanding patient-facility relations, and driving profitable revenue growth to communities beyond your simple charitable giving. Darrian focuses on collaborative programs with his WBT colleagues that will help patients and the community around North Texas harness a better and healthier way of living, by providing medical financial assistance to those who are unable to completely pay for their untimely expenses. Darrian believes that "for companies to be successful in this rapidly changing world, they must be ‘bold and agile’; and at the same time thoughtful and disciplined."
Bringing more than 28 years of executive leadership experience, Darrian continues to develop and deliver both financial and technology-driven patient care services and solutions. Darrian has served as a Senior Liason of Field Operations for Senior Care Centers, located in Dallas, Texas, where he helped drive and execute many of the company’s therapist online strategy shifts.
Under Darrian’s leadership, WBT© has embarked on defining and embedding its purpose,
“Providing Better Lives. For Everyone™” with the goal of creating a sustainable enterprise to ensure the foundation’s long-term success for patient care. The purpose serves as the organization’s ‘Aurora Borealis’ – guiding its employees in their actions and behaviors to forever change, but always remaining constant. This has led the foundation to its 21/23 two-year vision, with a three-fold strategy: continue to deliver top-quartile performance, become known as one of the world’s leading medical financial assistance providers, and elevate its commitment to corporate social responsibility — not social distancing.
Darrian currently serves on the Board of Directors for the WBT Foundation, as well as a Member of the American Heart Association’s CEO Roundtable.
Darrian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Central Washington University, and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Arlington; with a focus on Criminal Psychology.
Darrian and his wife, Elizabeth, have 4 beautiful children ages 21, 19, 18, and 12.
WBT’s first commercial has given the non-profit an incredible launching pad by featuring Academy Award-Winner, Morgan Freeman.
Their first fundraiser, a charity softball game, Battle of the Badges, and games and activities for the entire family, is set for *July 25th, 2021 in Rowlett, TX. Hope to see you there!
